2008 Football Season Concludes

Congratulations to the La Feria Lions and Rio Hondo Bobcats for reaching the 3rd round for the first time in their respective football histories.

The other 32-3A teams that have reached the 3rd round were Lyford in 1953 & 1991, Raymondville in 1998 and Port Isabel in '79, '81, '83, '84, '90, '92, '93, '94, '96, '02, '03, '04.

On a side note: Only 1 team out of the current 43 RGV teams have won a 3rd round game in this decade spanning 2000-2008...
